How Often Should You Clean Your AC in UAE Weather?
UAE dust, humidity and near year-round AC use mean most homes need cleaning far more often than manufacturer guidelines assume. Here's a realistic schedule.
Manufacturer manuals are usually written for milder climates. In the UAE, dust storms, high humidity and near-constant operation mean AC systems get dirty roughly twice as fast.
Filters: clean every 2–4 weeks during summer (June–September), and monthly the rest of the year. A visibly grey or dusty filter is already reducing airflow.
Coils and condensers: a full clean every 3 months for split units, and every 2 months for units in dusty or coastal areas.
Ducted systems: schedule a full duct inspection and clean once a year — dust and mold build-up inside ducts is invisible until it starts affecting indoor air quality.
Signs you're overdue: musty smells when the AC starts, visible dust blowing from vents, weaker airflow than usual, or a noticeable rise in your DEWA bill without a change in usage.
An AMC plan takes the guesswork out of scheduling — we track your service history and remind you before dust and grime start costing you comfort and money.
